Updating robot system¶
NAO only.
Warning
Do not use Choregraphe to upgrade Pepper, it could put your robot in an unsupported state.

Before starting¶

Retrieve the system image of your NAO:
You can download the latest release from Developer Center website. For further details, see: Downloading & Installing SoftBank Robotics Software. |
System update via Choregraphe¶
Cannot be tested on a simulated robot.
Step | Action |
---|---|
Launch Choregraphe, and connect it to the NAO to upgrade. For further details, see: How to connect Choregraphe to a robot. |

Choose Connection > Advanced > Update robot system. | |
Enter the robot’s password, then click the Next button. |

Select the system image to upload, then click the Next button. |

Choose whether you want a Factory reset or not. | |
Click the Update button. The image will then be uploaded through SFTP on NAO. Warning Do not switch NAO off while the flashing process is running. Note If something goes wrong during the system update process, and Choregraphe ends it prematurely, an error message is given in the wizard. For further details, see: Robot system update failure. |

Click the Finish or Restart robot now button. |

Once the upload finished, restart your NAO, and follow the flashing process.
