Updating robot system

Before starting

Step Action

Make sure your robot is ready:

nao NAO: check 1/4 - Making NAO ready for upgrade.

Retrieve the system image of your Aldebaran robot:

nao nao-atom-system-image-x.x.opn or

juju pepper-atom-system-image-x.x.opn

You can download the latest release from Aldebaran Community website. For further details, see: Downloading & Installing Aldebaran Software.

System update via Choregraphe

no-virtual Cannot be tested on a simulated robot.

Step Action

Launch Choregraphe, and connect it to the Aldebaran robot to upgrade.

Choose Connection > Advanced > Update robot system.

Enter the robot’s password,

then click the Next button.

Select the system image to upload,

then click the Next button.

Choose whether you want a Factory reset or not.

Click the Update button.

The image will then be uploaded through SFTP on the robot.

Warning

Do not switch the robot off while the flashing process is running.

Note

If something goes wrong during the system update process, and Choregraphe ends it prematurely, an error message is given in the wizard.

Click the Finish or Restart robot now button.

Next step

Once the upload finished, restart your robot, and follow the flashing process.
