Backup/Restore robot data troubleshooting

Backing up and restoring your robot data may fail.

The following table list errors that you may encounter.

message solution
connected to [robotName], no naoqi found. NAOqi might not be running on the robot, restart it and retry. See Turning NAO on
connected to [robotName], authentication failed. It seems you have made a mistake when providing your robot password.
connection failed, the IP might be wrong. Return to the robot selection page and verify your robot address.
Error while preparing transfer connection: [error msg] Retry.
Connection lost. Check your robot and computer connectivity and retry. See opennao-connectivity_nao
Need to be connected to NAOqi. Check your robot and computer connectivity and retry. See opennao-connectivity_nao
Need to be connected to SSH. Check your robot and computer connectivity and retry. See opennao-connectivity_nao
NAOqi and SSH connections need to be on the same host. Check your robot and computer connectivity and retry. See opennao-connectivity_nao
Your NAOqi version does not seem to support backing-up: error [error msg]. You need to udpate NAOqi on your robot. See Upgrading my NAO
An error occured while stopping NAOqi (exit code: [error code]). Retry. You may need to restart NAOqi. See Turning NAO on
Not enough space on the robot for the restore (free [x]kB, need [x]kB). You need to make some space on the robot before being able to restore that backup.
Need to give a file name for the backup file in an existing directory. Make sure you have selected a valid backup file and retry.
Invalid backup file: file does not exist. Make sure you have selected a valid backup file and retry.
Remote process error: (process command [cmd], exit code [x]). Retry.
Download error: [error msg] (remote: [filePath], local: [filePath]). Retry.
Download invalid job (remote file: [filePath], local file: [filePath]). Retry (if it happens again contact the Aldebaran Customer Support).
Invalid file information request (remote file: [filePath]). Retry (if it happens again contact the Aldebaran Customer Support).
Error while creating the backup file: [error msg] Make sure you have selected a valid and writable backup file and retry.
Upload error: [error msg] (local: [filePath], remote: [filePath]). Retry.
Upload invalid job (directory creation: [filePath]). Retry (if it happens again contact the Aldebaran Customer Support).
Upload invalid job (local file: [filePath], remote file: [filePath]). Retry (if it happens again contact the Aldebaran Customer Support).
Error while extracting the backup file (error: [error msg]). Make sure you have selected a valid backup file and retry.
Files installation error: upload invalid job (local file: [filePath], remote file: [filePath]). Retry (if it happens again contact the Aldebaran Customer Support).
Files installation error: unable to create installation script [error msg]. Retry.
Files installation error: could not send the installation script: [error msg]. Retry.
